The latest in my life....

On Thursday, Caitlyn rode over on Comanche and spent the night. It was soooo awesome! We got to our house at about 4:30pm...we met right before Fishing Creek Road. And then after supper we did like gymkana type stuff on the horses and then I was working on trying to get Candy to not cut the corner around the tree in her pasture and I was riding bareback at a trot so I fell off like 3 times! And then I decided to saddle her and then we did that some more then went on a little ride in our woods which was cut short by a storm. And then we were up till 1am playing Monopoly. lol....I lost! I had practically all of my lots mortgaged and she had a hotel on all of her lots! Friday morning we rode the horses bareback down to Fishing Creek Road and at the first underwater bridge we took the horses swimming. It was over Comanche's back (he's 13.2hh and Candy's 15.3hh) and was high on Candy too! And then we got off and I tried to swim beside Candy but she didn't like it and so I have to try to get her used to swimming in water. And then I was able to mount her in the water which was cool cause she's too tall for me to mount bareback from the ground. And then on the way back we cantered alot and on the last stretch we let them canter as fast as they wanted!! It was sooooo awesome! I find it alot easier to roll with the canter bareback rather than in a saddle and it's definately alot funner! Besides the slowing down part lol! I slide forward sometimes and she has high withers so it kinda hurts! Then we trotted almost all of the way home. When we got back we had lunch and at 2pm we tacked up the horses and went back Fishing Creek again and then we split up. But then I was kinda sore because we rode for about 5 or 6 hours that day! And then while we were on a trail and Cait tryed slowing Comanche before a log because the ground was too muddy and soft to jump it but he wasn't listening really and he slipt on leaves and tripped over the log and was laying on his side and didn't get up for alittle bit. But when I got there he was up and muddy so I wondered what happened and Cait told me. But then he was fine!

Satuday night we went to see fireworks at HERRS chips with the Singles which was kinda boring cause we weren't actually there...we were at a farm and we could only see the higher fireworks. And then on Sunday night we went to Long's Park fireworks with the Denglers (Caitlyn^ and her mom and bro). Just me, mom, and Matt went and then Josh A. went with us too. It was soooo much fun! Besides the orchestra and then a women's choir which did horrible! And then Charlie Smithgall had like 7 of his cannons there and we were right beside them basically! The way home was the funnest though! Me and Cait were sitting in front of Matt, Josh, and Justin (we took our van) and we were having a war with the tennis balls! And then on the way out of Long's Park, Justin threw a stink bomb out the window....lol! Tuesday we had my Aunt Angel, Uncle Larry, and Nana down for a cookout. Then me, mom, Aunt Angel, and Nana played volleyball over the horse fence! I was in the pasture so I had to dodge poop piles lol! And then on one serve the ball hit Candy on the back of her front leg and she didn't spook! That was pretty amazing considering if I roll the ball between her legs she spooks. Wednesday I didn't do much of anything....and then today me, mom, Matt, Nana, and Tyler went to Woody's for lunch for Tyler's b-day, it was actually June 27th though. He's 21 now but in his case it's not exactly good.... But then after we got home I went out and worked with Candy some and finally got her to trot beside me. And then at one point she was being a mule and I went to slap her and she took off and I was using my long training line which is like 20 or so feet long and she took off at a gallop and I got rope burn on my fingers which really stung! But I managed to keep hold of the rope and got her under control and gave her a good whack with my crop. Then she listened a little bit better! lol! And then I hopped on her bareback and rode her for a few minutes with only her halter on and a set of reins. She does pretty good with only a halter but if she were to take off while on a trail ride stopping her would be very difficult. Welp, gotta go so ttyl! And please comment!!!

**EDIT** I forgot to say that on Friday we got Kelly put down because she had cancer and then on Monday we got a 7 week old German Shepard/Lab mixed puppy! We named her Daisy. She is soooo adorable! Her body looks like a lab but her colors are like a German Shepard. I'll put pics on soon hopefully! AND I got the Barlow Girl: Another Journal Entry cd! I know Let Go and I Need You to Love Me from the radio and also Never Alone from their last newest cd that I have only it's acoustic guitar and it sounds really good! Welp, ttyl!

Camp

Last week our church's youth group went to the Bill Rice Ranch in Murfreesboro, TN. It was sooooooo fun! This was my second year going. All of us girls had one of the big cabins so we were all together which was pretty cool. Me and Anna went on trail-rides twice....it was kinda boring because we only walk really but the horse she was riding was slow so we got behind and then we trotted to catch up! My horse had such a smooth trot...I loved it! And we also had a volley-ball team...we did horrible. Lost our first game 21 to 9, but they ended up being the champions so they were very good! And then the guys played basket ball and they did terrible....it was like 20 to 4 (because they only had 8 minute games for sake of time). But again the team they played against made it to the final game but they weren't the champs. So we were pretty unevenly matched, lol. We left on Saturday at about 3am so we were all dead tired! And it was raining and a pretty miserable day. But I was soooo happy to get home.....I really missed Candy and Duke alot! All I wanted to do was go on a looooong trail ride and canter alot, but of course the weather has to be terrible this week. And now her stall is a big mess and so we put stone dust in it to absorb all the water because the whole front half of her stall was covered in water and now we're looking for stall mats to put in her stall after we fill it with stone dust. Ooo and today we went to the movies with the Singles and watched "Yours, Mine & Ours". They have a free movie thing every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am-12pm during the summer. It was funny! I loved it! Welp, gotta go.

Updating finally!

I haven't had much time to update.....well me and Caitlyn went on a trail ride on Monday but Comanche threw a shoe alittle ways into Fishing Creek so we decided to head back to her house. We went through Drumore Park so in the baseball field I got to work with Candy for awhile then we went back to her house and I stayed till like 4:30 or somethin like that.  It was fun and awesome because Candy didn't trip alot....only about 3 or maybe 4 times! I've been working with her as much as possible but the weather isn't very helpful... And I really need to get to trail ride with my friends alot more often cause it gets soooooo boring riding alone. But anyways, today was field day at our church's Christian school and homeschools were invited to go so me and Matt went and a few other friends from church that are homeschooled. It was sooooo much fun! We had two teams; team #1 was me, Matt, Shannon and Erica R., Heather B., Laurie C., Phil P., and Thomas H. (the pastors one son). And then team #2 was Erin R. (Erica and Erin are twins), Amanda P. (Phil's sister), Brittany K., Rachael B., Shawn H., Josh P. (Phil's & Amanda's brother), and Matt H. (the pastors other son). And then Dan H. (the pastors oldest son) was the leader or somethin. We did all kinds of wierd stuff....first a guy from each team had to eat a Snickers bar and try to spit the peanuts into a cup a girl from each team was holding. Then two girls and two guys from each team had to roll a ping-pong ball across the floor, it was a relay race. Then after pizza we went outside to do the rest of the stuff. We had a few different things involving water balloons and a game sorta like kickball but it was really wierd....and confusing at first. And then two members from each team had a plate that had coconut cream and whip cream that was slightly frozen and they had to, with their mouths, pick out four pieces of licorice and then drink a cup of hot chocolite....made with Sprite instead of water or milk. We lost that because Phil couldn't finish getting the licorice....lol. And then a member from each team had to eat baby food, we won but afterwards Thomas puked, lol! Two members from each team had to carry an egg on a spoon holding it with their mouth. And last but definately not least was we got to throw water balloons at Dan but he made us do it from a distance. He didn't realize that there was still one more water balloon left so when he was going to clean up the table used for the eating contests Shannon sneaked up behind him and got him good on the side! After everything was over the girls who are on the volleyball team stayed and we practiced till 4. We are deffinately alot better and more aggressive than last year! Last year at camp we won one game so we're thinking that this year we'll probably win even more. Shannon's our coach which is pretty cool but most of the time it's drills, drills, and more drills. But we do some practice games. I'm soooooo excited for camp! It's in about 3 weeks! And there are even more girls coming this year. Welp gotta go, leave comments please!
